Musician

Jay Rosen is an audio and video engineer and multimedia content creator hailing from Philadelphia, PA. He is also a pianist, guitarist, pedal steel guitarist, and multi-instrumentalist music director.

ABOUT

A musician since the age of 5, Jay started his musical journey with piano lessons and soon discovered his love for music in all forms and on all instruments. Since adding guitar as a teenager, he has enjoyed learning more new instruments and sharing them with other musicians. Following years of independent freelance music, he refocused his attention on multimedia with a concentration in audio and video, using his background as a musician and a music director for theater as a foundation for his production quality. This led to work in podcasting, especially mixing and mastering IndieWorks Productions' Bite Sized Broadway, which was recognized with a Webby Award Honor, and producing OwlSports Update: Off Air for OwlSports Update at Temple University. He will graduate from Temple with a bachelor's degree in Media Studies and Production in spring 2024 and will pursue work in podcasting, video production, and live TV.

As a musician, he was a founding member of Rachel Andie and the V Element and is a recurring collaborative partner of Emily Drinker, and he performs regularly at weddings and private events with multiple event companies, especially award-winning wedding band Bachelor Boys. He has performed at Walnut Street Theatre and has music directed at Bucks County Playhouse, Stagedoor Manor, and independent theater companies up and down the east coast. He continues to work as an audio engineer for music, specializing in live and live-in-studio performance, and as an occasional private piano and guitar instructor in the Philadelphia area.
